Discovering Alma de Chiapas

Our journey to Chiapas introduced us to Alma de Chiapas, a cooperative that goes beyond coffee production. This umbrella organisation brings together 599 farmers (490 men and 109 women) who cultivate 1,654 hectares of land with a focus on sustainability and community growth.

Alma de Chiapas acts as an incubator, helping farmers achieve certifications like Fair Trade and Organic while equipping them with the tools to manage their own businesses and finances. Their mission is to graduate farmers into independent members of Impacto Transformador, empowering them to thrive in the global coffee market.
